In other words, the middle humbucker is a slightly brighter neck pickup, but isn't much different. Sure, the middle is SLIGHTLY brighter, but at the end of the day, you get smooth and silky, singing tones, but you can't chug-a-lug the way you would on a bridge pickup. Have you ever tried a triple humbucker Les Paul? The middle humbucker and neck humbucker sound fairly similar.

This is NOT a common pickup configuration, but let me tell you why its awesome. I experimented a lot with different pickup combinations until I arrived at the HHS combination. And, of course, behind the nut, you have blacked out, locking tuners (that pretty much goes without saying on an axe of this style, right?) Not only are they gorgeous, but they sound and play great, with the individual saddle/nut height and intonation adjustments letting this baby play like a high-performance rock machine! You can fine tune every teeny tiny aspect of this thing's action. And speaking of brass, check out the BRASS SADDLES and ADJUSTABLE BRASS NUT.

The neck is straight, and the frets are even. I don't know what their exact size – I did this years ago – but if I had to guess, I'd say its something like 6150 fretwire. The frets are also BIG to make shredding / bending / tapping easier. In addition to the awesome banana headstock, it has killer looking star inlays for some additional flair. I painted the front of the headstock white to fit the theme of the rest of the body.

This is obviously not the original fender neck, as it has the EVH-style banana headstock. I then sprayed the whole body with clear coat. I sanded the body a bit to prep the surface, sprayed it with matte black primer, taped her up, sprayed with white, and removed the tape. I believe it was alder, though I'm not 100% sure about that. It started off as a MIM standard strat circa the early 2000s with a purple-ish finish. I've put many, many hours into making this guitar what it is, and have enjoyed it for years, so let me tell you all about it This is my Eddie Van Halen style strat - MAKE ME AN OFFER
